Positive Feedback From Grand Forks!

By CFP Staff - March 23rd, 2009

This is a letter we received from a rider/writer about our ALERUS CENTER ARENACROSS:

"Thank you for your hospitality last weekend. I have to say that it has been a very long time since I've had that much fun at an event. All the added touches you incorporated into the event made it so much more than just a typical arenacross race. The opening ceremonies, pit party, post-race interviews; they all made the event soooo much cooler for the fans and all of us racers. The extra practice sessions were awesome too because most of us are off the bike for long periods of time during the winter.
I hope you can make it back next year and I'm pretty confident that you can look forward to a higher rider count after a positive endorsement in the next issue of GrassRoots.

Fort Wayne, IN Event In The Books!

By CFP Staff - January 20th, 2009

On Friday and Saturday night January 16-17th, the CFP CREW with Reads Racing and the Klinger Klan headed to Ft. Wayne, Indiana to build one of the best Arenacross Race Tracks ever. With two days of blizzard and sub zero temperatures outside but we had a pit full of talent inside. Some of the top PRO and AMATEUR riders braved the roads to race on a huge track that is almost 3 times the size of most arenacross race tracks.

In Chicago at the Sears Centre James Polvony #323 Kawasaki rider was the Pro to beat but this race in Fort Wayne a new story, it was about #304 Brad Ripple (Crown Point, Indiana) sweeping all 4 events on a brand new 2009 250F Honda. Picking up the bike 2 days prior it did not even have numbers on it for the first heat race on Friday. Ripple attacked the track which had some crazy whoops and a huge straight a way where the bikes could get into 4 gear!

Fort Wayne was no cake walk for the rest of the Bad Boys as the series leader James Polvony #323 (Louisville, Kentucky)on his Kawasaki had to come thru the pack to finish 2nd over guys like Steve Roman(Pennsylvania), Roy Horton(Illinois), and Derek Whitney (Illinois) and Scott Metz (Indiana) and also Dave Ginolfi (New Jersey)were all very aggressive. Plenty of handlebar banging action and tire marks on each others bikes allowed the spectators some of the best Arenacross Racing Action ever seen!

Upcoming Bad Boys Arenacross dates are:
January 23-24th Belton, Tx - Bell County Expo Arena
January 31st Sioux Falls, SD - Sioux Falls Arena
February 7th Loveland, CO - Budweiser Events Center
March 20-21st Grand Forks, ND - Alerus Center
April 4th Pocatello, Idaho - Holt Arena ISU DOME
April 17-18th Wichita, Kansas - Hartman Arena

This week in Belton the riders can enter at the gate. Friday night and Saturday night we are racing qualifiers and Main Events. Each night is a full racing event with prizes and awards. Sign-up, practice times, classes and all that any racer would want to know is on the Ax entry form flyer but if not call the CFP office 940-683-4742 during the day from 9am to 5pm and we shall be glad to help you. Spectators are going to see some of the best handlebar to handlebar racing anywhere. BAD BOYS ARENACROSS is like the Ultimate Fighting Challenge only these guys use motorcycles on this battleground!

Rounds #1 and #2 of the BAD BOYS OF ARENACROSS were BIG!

By CFP Staff - January 12th, 2009

This weekend, January 16-17th, we head to Ft. Wayne, Indiana to begin rounds #3 and #4. Big things happened last weekend in Chicago inside the Sears Centre Arena with two days of blizzard outside and a pit full of talent inside as some of the top PRO and AMATEUR riders braved the roads to race in front of some huge crowds. James Polvony #323 Kawasaki rider was the Pro to beat and even with an injury to his knee he rode the wheels off his bike.

This week for Fort Wayne riders can enter at the gate. Friday night we are racing qualifiers and Main Events. Then Saturday afternoon all amateur riders qualify and Pro's practice. That night at 7:30pm the Pro Qualifiers and Amateur last chance qualifiers and Pro Main Events make up a huge night of racing. For a flyer click here!  Sign-up, practice times, classes and all that any racer would want to know is on that flyer but if not call the CFP office 940-683-4742 during the day from 9am to 5pm and we shall be glad to help you.

Polvony and Cameron Lansing are two of the top Pros to already pre-enter. With $1,000 dollars to win the 450F class this makes our Fort Wayne event one of the biggest of the year and this year it pays $1,000 to win each night! Plus the 125/250 class pays 200% payback so the pro riders are heading to the Expo Arena to get some of the cash. This years event should have over a 10,000 dollar purse and the 450 pay-off is double what last years was. Amateur racers get a chance to race in front of the big crowds on Friday and Saturday and they are excited to be racing on the same program as the Pro racers. Over 100 riders that have pre-entered for this weekends races.

Spectators are going to see some of the best handlebar to handlebar racing anywhere. BAD BOYS ARENACROSS is like the Ultimate Fighting Challenge only these guys use motorcycles on this battleground!

To purchase tickets there are several options. Tickets for sale in person at the Memorial Coliseum Box Office and all local Ticketmaster outlets or Tickets can be charged by phone at (260) 424-1811. Tickets also available online at at www.ticketmaster.com.

About The Bad Boys of Arenacross:

To race Arenacross is to bump against the Adrenaline limit. Tight, twisting, demanding race tracks with double and triple style jumps and all the usual whoop sections, table top jumps, and bermed corners that come together to make the track challenging for the Pro Riders but are also safe enough for the Mini Bike Pee Wee rider is the goal of the CFP CREW. Professional track builders with many years of experience and a caring attitude towards the riders is what you find when you come to our events.

Checkered Flag Productions, or as we are known the CFP CREW has been involved in the Indoor Motocross business for over 20 years. Starting last year, we looked at Arenacross with a whole new attitude. We are geared for the rider, and their families and the local rider but we also put up the big purse money to get those Pro riders that can put on the show.

When AMA decided they would not sanction our events it did not stop us from continuing to advance the sport of Arenacross. Most of our rules are the industry standard and are close to sanctioned rules and regulations. We are proud of races we call them BAD BOYS of RACING (BBOR). We like to go against the establishment once in a while and make our own rules. Besides, being a Bad Boy (or Girl) can be fun!

Most events we race both Youth and Amateur classes. The spectators that attend the events will ask for your autograph and cheer you on just like if you were Jeremy McGrath! Pitting inside and Racing in front of a huge crowd indoors out of the weather is big fun.

Pro's at our Series events compete for up to $10,000.00 weekend purse with our races paying up to $1000 to win the Main Event for the 450 class in Chicago and Fort Wayne and our upcoming events in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Amateur race for plaques or trophies will be awarded to the top 5 places in all amateur classes. All Pee Wee beginner riders receive awards.

The Arenacross format is a process of elimination that will consist of heat races and last chance qualifiers to determine who will compete in the main events. Most tracks indoors are limited to no more than 14 riders in the Main Event per class.

Come ride with the BAD BOYS OF ARENACROSS and have some fun!
